We welcome artists of all styles and skill levels to join us for our Plein Air Community Paint Out on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in the Village of Fairport, New York.
- Early Registration fee is $15 and ends Friday, September 27 at 8:30 am
- Late Registration fee is $25 and ends Saturday, September 28 at 8:30 am (day of event)

The Village of Fairport is a unique, historic but hip (hipstoric?) community whose “Four Corners” occur at the intersection of Main Street and the Erie Canal. The combination of the canal, the railroad, and the historic Rochester, Syracuse & Eastern Railway trolley created a vibrant village hub that is home to a variety of delightful painting subjects. The Erie Canal and its famous lift bridge, trains and boats, Potter Memorial, a handful of pioneer cemeteries, the 1800s homes on the south side of town, the industrial complex at the Cannery on the north side of town, dedicated wetlands, the canal towpath, historic buildings and churches, public art sculptures, wildlife — all of this awaits you as you arrive with your canvas, brushes, easel, and paint.
Artist check-in will take place at 8:30 am at Faircraft Brauhaus (map). Please bring your blank canvas(es) to check-in to be stamped on the back by staff. After a morning of painting, you will display your work for exhibition and sale at Faircraft Brauhaus. All sales must occur at the exhibition and be processed through the Fairport Public Art Committee.
